"Fakes that Ache" :(

Hi F.ARCs!!!!
Like the post title suggests we chatting about *FAKES (horrible horrible IMITATIONS)*

Let me start by saying there isn't really anyone who isn't guilty of this crime, the only thing is that some *fakes just Ache*!!!
For us (titi and desola) there are some items or clothing we mostly won't go out of our way to buy the Designer (labels) of, like Jeans for example but towards the end of this post you will know what imitations to buy and what to leave hanging on mannequins.....

In a time like this when the average person's wants to live above his/her means and we all still want to live what we think is the *GOOD Life*, we want to own designers at whatever cost and most of us ignorantly even purchase some thinking they are authentic

Three major recent instances I will state:

• Kim kardashian's Dress from the shows introduction
Hermes bags
• Louboutin shoes
• Also not leaving the constant LV, Prada, burberry, vivienne westwood and other designer imitations

• Firstly, times without number I have seen girls wearing the imitation of kim kardashian's dress from the reality tv show *keeping up with the kardashians*.
Fortunately for me I was able to get a feel of it sometime last year when I went window shopping on Akoka road (off university of lagos) I can't forget what the owner of the shop said * I have kim kardashian's dress* she even brought out a magazine to show me the picture of kim in the dress. I must say the fabric used was *very well Below low* standard and also the finishing not neatly done at all but then it was surprising seeing so many girls rocking(wearing) it as if 'No o they are members of the kardashian Clan, obviously ignoring the authenticity and going more for its *FAME*

•Secondly, I just had to include hermes bags because one of the most loyal hermes customer Victoria Beckham is someone we @fashionitekture find very stylish and inspiring. Hermes bags for me as always been a must buy but I personally postponed that want to when I start to work and start to earn my Zillions*
I have to say the hermes imitation has to be the biggest and all time fave of the people behind imitation (my guess is CHINA). Hermes bags have been imitated, altered, designed just to go with everyone's possible taste , there are so many different colours, sizes and structures I just want to hug the owner of hermes and say sorry.

Authentic Hermes Birkin (front)
Fake Hermes Birkin (front)

•Thirdly, this is the most interesting attempt at imitation considering the fact that all one needs is a red paint and a brush to create the ever distinctive identity or logo of *Christian Louboutin shoes*
I remember the day I was chilling with my friends @essyohums and @lasgidibabe at soul lounge, a babe walked in all confident and feeling very *trendy* in her blue tee shirt , penciled jeans, her LV belt and her LV bag and as she walks forward I catch the glance of the red sole of her supposed Louboutin shoes; it might have been original you say » maybe but not when the girl in question doesn't even know its LOUBOUTINs , all she wanted was the shoe with the red sole that everyone is wearing...
Considering the fact that you can get it at Shoprite Surulere for N25,000 the only person for now I have seen with authentic ones would be Funke Akindele (hopefully she has receipts for them)

 •Lastly, in this category I will quote @blaquethay *LV too needs a hug, there's also LV umbrella and Raincoat*
For those of you like me that have entered the bag section in Balogun you would understand our pain, imagine a vivienne westwood clutch with the logo on it and no label or even customized zippers,
And a GUGGI bag with gucci logo, so many other designers I just feel sad for. China has managed to turn Designers to what Pirates in Nigeria have turned our movie and song industry into

.

Why buy fakes when you can buy nameless or logo-less version of;

* Jeans
*sunglasses
*sandals
* some shoes
*slippers

I am not saying don't buy original of these things but don't buy Fake of them is what am saying!
- For me buying jeans at balogun or yaba is okay as far as it has no Logo or design on the pocket area or anywhere else.
Plain sunglasses like the rayban and LV designs without the name printed on it and also same goes for sandals, some shoes and some slippers....
Don't buy all this numerous Dubai shoes or bags they are also either very bad or good imitations. Girls quit buying studded tees and studded, sequined or stoned shoes with a million different colours; do you need to be flogged to notice? is it not obvious? if u must buy shoes like those buy one coloured plain ones!

The items listed are things you shouldn't go out of your way to save money to buy even if you can afford to save for it invest in Real estate, Gadgets, wristwatches , bags and accessories(gold or diamonds) or better still contact me to help you spend the money.

Also one thing you need to realize is you don't need to buy expensive designers I bet primark does collaborations with Top designers to do cheaper and more affordable designs, don't follow trends, make trends!!!
We all need to realize that the YMCMB tees or snapbacks don't make razz yahoo boys fresher boys it makes there razzness stand out even more or even that the louboutins or louis Vuitton dust off the ugly in ugly girls.....

(My Wishlist: louboutin shoes)

ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND BEAU

Hi!!!!
Let me start by saying thank you to everyone who commented on our last three posts it is good to see that people actually read and care about us and most of the comments show that you all are trying to make us better bloggers and more stylish people. My other opinions I would keep to myself.

After a Wednesday and Thursday of no activity thanks to my friend @darkpearlzz snitching and not hanging out with me, I decided to make sure we do hangout against all odds today.
It is no news that the removal of fuel subsidy has brought about increase in transportation and even little things like the price of pure water. I hope the price of seeing a movie will remain the same though.
Before going to jump into a B.R.T bus to the mainland I decide to take pictures of my colourful outfit before it gets rumpled….enjoy!!!
