B1TCH WHY BLEACH – (skin bleaching)

HI F.ARCS!!!!
Today’s subject is one that was inspired by a tweet I read, and since I saw this subject on twitter I couldn’t get my mind off the question.
I am not here to give you my opinion on people that bleach or to condemn them but to share information on this subject and help those who have or are about to start bleaching.
I must say this, I have seen a million people who can’t wear short dresses anymore because of how bad their skins have turned out thanks to bleaching and also worse off are the people who look so nice from the outside but when they go naked you almost want to puke thanks to injuries and stretch marks that bleaching creams have made to look worse….
One thing I know is this, beyond your style, beyond fashion, beyond your skin type is one thing that affects the way people see you and that one thing is called SELF ESTEEM (loving one’s self is the biggest form of self esteem)..Once you have it you would be able to live with yourself as a black person trust me!!!!

What is skin bleaching or skin lightening and Why people bleach>>>>>>>>>

Skin bleaching is used to treat discoloration of the skin, without changing skin color. The bleaching process refers to removal of freckles, skin aging spots, scarring, or uneven skin tone. Some of the causes of skin discoloration are sun damage, hormonal changes, aging, and genetics. Skin bleaching creams are not as invasive as laser surgery, and should be the first step to treating skin discoloration or undesired spots.
Improving skin texture, and having a smoother skin tone, are both possible through skin bleaching creams. Creams used for skin bleaching can be purchased in stores or online, and the process can be done at home. Creams that alter skin pigmentation can have ingredients that are not compatible with every skin tone, and can have side effects. Hydroquinone and mercury are main ingredients found in skin bleaching creams, and are considered toxic chemicals. These chemical compounds can cause side effects, and should only be used as directed

Skin whitening, skin lightening and skin bleaching refers to the practice of using chemical substances in an attempt to lighten skin tone or provide an even skin complexion by lessening the concentration of melanin. Several chemicals have been shown to be effective in skin whitening, while some have proved to be toxic or have questionable safety profiles, adding to the controversy surrounding their use and impacts on certain ethnic groups.

Specific zones of abnormally high pigmentation such as moles and birthmarks may be depigmented to match to the surrounding skin. Conversely, in cases of vitiligo, unaffected skin may be lightened to achieve a more uniform appearance.

However, in cases where these spot treatment creams are used in attempt to lighten the entire complexion, all of the current methods are considered ineffective. Complete skin depigmentation is simply a futile process. An additional application is genital or anal bleaching, intended to reduce the typically darker pigmentation of the genital and perianal area.

In the modern appearance conscious society in which we live there is a myth that lighter paler complexions portray beauty, riches and success. Older people as well use skin lightening to remove age or liver spots and other skin darkening conditions.

Side effects>>>>>

The major side effects include: skin cancer, liver damage, kidney damage or poisoning
-          The most serious is Cushing's disease, a malfunction of the adrenal glands leading to an overproduction of cortisol. Other side effects include:
-          * increased appetite and weight gain
-          * deposits of fat in chest, face, upper back, and stomach
-          * swelling
-          * slowed healing of wounds
-          * osteoporosis
-          * cataracts
-          * acne
-          * muscle weakness
-          * thinning of the skin

Mercury Side Effects
Skin bleaching creams containing mercury should not be used for long periods of time. Mercury can cause poisoning, and mercury in creams can start accumulating in the cells of the body. Too much mercury exposure, or poisoning, can lead to liver damage and kidney failure.

Sun Ray Exposure
Skin bleaching creams take time for full effects and to see results. Hydroquinone and mercury cause skin to be hyper-sensitive to sun rays. Stay out of the sun after skin bleach cream is applied, or wear protective clothing and use an SPF 15+ sunscreen when outdoors. Tanning beds or any type of sun lamps should be avoided during this time.

Peroxide Precautions
Benzoyl peroxide, hydrogen peroxide, or other peroxide products should not be used with skin bleaching creams, especially when using hydroquinone. The combination of hydroquinone and peroxide can cause temporary dark staining of the skin.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Skin bleaching is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The cream can get into the mother's bloodstream and travel to the fetus.

Proper Use
Proper use of skin bleaching creams is extremely important, and directions should be followed carefully at all times. Skin bleaching creams should be used temporarily, for no longer than four weeks. Large skin areas, such as the entire face, should not be bleached at once due to the possibility of skin discoloration. Bleaching cream should be applied only to spots that need to be removed or lightened.

-          Hydroquinone or Mercury applied to the skin will react with ultra violet rays and re-oxidise, leading to more pigmentation and premature ageing. More product is then applied in an attempt to correct the darker blotchy appearance.
-           These are the beginnings of a vicious cycle. By altering the skins natural structure and inhibiting the production of Melanin, it’s natural protection, the skin is more susceptible to skin cancer.
-           Prolonged use of Hydroquinone will thicken collegen fibres damaging the connective tissues. The result is rough blotchy skin leaving it with a spotty cavier appearance.

-           Mercury will slowly accumulate within the skin cells striping the skin of it’s natural pigment leaving behind the tell tale signs of gray/ blue pigmentation in the folds of the skin. In the long term the chemical will damage vital organs and lead to liver and kidney failure and mercury poisoning.
-          Long term use of skin whiteners can lead to pigmentation increasing to the joints of the fingers, toes, buttocks and ears. The skin of the face can become thinned and the area around the eyes can have increased pigmentation causing a 'bleach panda effect'.

-          The main side effect to worry about is the increased risk of skin cancer. Some of the chemical reduce the skins resistance to the sun's UV rays. Likewise, when one writes on the skin they have an increased risk for skin cancer. So think of that times about one hundred.
-           Another side effect is the dryness. The chemicals suck the natural moisture from your skin.

Note this >>>>

Always drink a lot of water and don't forget to drink high milligram vit.C when using lightening products because it will help you a lot. That's one of the secret to have a glowing skin... VIT. C.
Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths, and sunlamps. Use a sunscreen and wear protective clothing on the treated areas of skin when outdoors.

Conclusion>>>>>

Most times all you need is to tone your skin, buy the right toning cream and your skin will glow.
Also like you earlier read.. vitamin C also adds the glow you need.
We feel that we must bow down to the social pressures or we suffer from the psychological effects which cause us to use products which may permanently disfigure or cause horrific side effects.
We all have a choice. Whichever you choose..enjoy but please young girls that don’t have a career shouldn’t venture it o because the people they are looking upto can very much afford to maintain it.
