TOO LONG!!!!

Hi F.arcs!!!

Yayyy!!! I hope I'm back...looolz
So its bin X posts too long since I've posted personally and @blaquethay (presently in ZAMFARA for her NYSC....lolzz) is going to flog me if I don't post something before she's back from camp. Yes! I'm supposed to be in camp too and yes hopefully I'm going with the next batch (sometime in June and I'm praying I get posted to lagos).
Even though we thought we would be off to camp at the same time I'm so soo glad my department didn't send my name for N.Y.S.C yet, firstly because I got to work during AMFW( arise magazine fashion week) and secondly because I got to answer mails and deliver items bought from Fashionitekture Vintage Sales (FVS).

Let me say this I had plans for daily post for AMFW but it was a pity stylist assistants a.k.a (runners, steamers, inventory takers, dressers, packers and helps) had to put on black black all through the event :(  sadmuch* I know!
Apart from that I had an amazing time and I met a lot of wonderful sweethearts, I was d teams Clown* and the experience was a blast too even though I didn't have time to take even a single picture I got to see how designers, stylists, models and production people get to work under pressure and also I got to laugh real hard and listen to phonee all day long (I realized everyone in the fashion industry as an accent....too bad I don't)*

Anyways!!! Today is a usual day, I'm off to nowhere I'm ill and at home and I'm feeling a lil bit old school (stale and vintage-ish) I haven't been out in a bit....
Let me also add a big thank you to our buyers and for all you people who couldn't get what you wanted the next sale is the first week in march...
thanx for the patronage
Enjoy
Xoxo

FASHION SPOTLIGHT: SOUZA FASHIONS lookbook

HI F.ARCS

By now you would know that we @fashionitekture are more fashion than architecture lovers looooolzzzz...
so in support of fashion we bring you yet another look book by my friend and a unilag alumni Francisca tolu Da-Souza , creative director of souza fashions titled the  IT GIRL ....

''She eats, sleeps, even breathes GLAM....she's The IT-GIRL.
The collection 'The IT-GIRL' is a collection of glamorous and stylish looks for every kind of girl. The idea behind the collection is to give every girl that feeling of a domineering presence, much like that celebrities get when spotted on the red carpet or even a glamour magazine''.
The shoot was styled by Damola Adeyemi ( a contributor on this blog ) and the photos were shot by Lolo Osinbajo.
SOUZA believes in exploring the various shades to a woman. Hence, one will find that the collection comprises dresses, jumpsuits and tops that define each model's identity while still achieving that 'IT' look.''

I am totally in awe of some pieces in this collection especially the highly revealing jumpsuit (wink), which she can gladly give me as its in my wishlist......

The organizers of the Design Workshop Series are delighted to announce the confirmation of Sound Sultan award winning lyricist and singer, Kiki Kamanu editor at 234NEXT’s elan & international fashion designer and Dapo Akintunde RCA trained designer as speakers for the ninth edition of the DWSeries

Sound Sultan is an award-winning Nigerian lyricist, composer, singer and producer born Olanrewaju Fasasi in Ibadan SW Nigeria. He has performed on stages with some of the world’s best and toured five continents. With three albums to his credit, he is respected for his technical mastery and wizardry. Kiki Kamanu began her fashion journey at age 5, as a child model and later graced the runways for several designers including CHANEL & GUCCI, she began designing her own fun clothes, when she was 11. Educated across 3 continents Africa-Nigeria, Europe-France & the Americas-USA and an avid traveller, she has been to more than 50 far flung destinations on 5 continents and all this cultural influences are very visible in her very diverse creations. She later took up fashion fully after quitting her job as a corporate event planner at Harvard University and from that time till now has not looked back. Kiki is the face of her eponymous fashion label and has exhibited her works at the London Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week and Arise Magazine Fashion Week. She got married to her long-time sweetheart Noble Ekajeh at a lavish ceremony in Turkey where her wedding gown was the subject of intense media scrutiny due to the unconventional use of colours. Dapo is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects NIA and Royal Institute of British Architects RIBA

Established in 2011, the DWSeries has become a major avenue for consistent interaction between industry practitioners and students or willing youths, hence bridging the gap between the two worlds and challenging young minds to creativity and focus. Set on the main campus of the University of Lagos, the Design Workshop Series has received an enthusiastic response from the audience as the forward-looking, experimental and context sensitive show.
In December 2011, the organizing committee decided to re-work the workshop series by introducing a system where industry practitioners who have made a reputation out of careers in the creative economy: art, architecture, cinema, literature & music; are invited to keep the lectures expository and interesting.  On 25th February 2012, Tunde Kelani, Kelechi Amadi-Obi and Paul Kodje graced the DWSeries stage to deliver thought-provoking sessions.

The organizing committee includes Tony Oladeji Director of the Lagos Biennial, Olajide Emmanuel Acting Head Creative Office ONE EA, Adedamola Osinloye Head Business Development at ONE EA, Pelumi Olowolafe Head of Marketing ONE EA, Wale Folami Head DWConference, ‘Tola Olaifa, Head DWSeries and Babasanya Craig Head DWBusiness. The facilitator of the DWSeries is ONE EA and venues include PG Architecture Studio, University of Lagos and Ember Creek, Ikoyi (both in Lagos), other venues will be announced later.

If you have questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
